ZQ02109 – 7x30W LED Bee Eye Moving Light – Unofficial Manual

Another day, another light in need of an unofficial manual.

This one has a proper model number however, it’s a ZQ02109 7x30W LED Bee Eye Moving Light

Here’s the unofficial manual

Here’s the official manual (it’s actually not too bad)

And here’s an ETC EOS/Element DMX Profile you can use (instructions are in the file)

This light is sold by a bunch of different lighting companies, the most notable being UKing.

It’s super similar to the ZQ02356 light – the only difference is this one has an LED ring around the Bee Eye part of the light, which is kind of useless. The DMX Profiles are almost identical, with just an extra 7 DMX channels used for the ring light.

Here’s my speed review of the light too:

* It’s not as loud as some of the other cheaper Bee Eye lights, still ramps up a bit when you have the intensity up a fair way.

* It’s rated at 7x30W – My testing shows it’s close enough to that (see unofficial manual for more)

* It supports RDM pretty well, you can change address and fixture modes with it (yay!)

* The effects actually work properly (unlike the last one I used), but there are a couple of strange channels on the 35ch mode that do *almost* nothing.

It’s a nice light, I really like these ones!
